Information we collect
When you use the Bykes recommendation questionnaire, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, city or location, gender, budget, vehicle preferences, fuel preference, intended use, questionnaire answers, consent choices and recommendation history.
How we use information
We use this information to generate and display personalised vehicle recommendations, email the result you request, remember your choices, improve recommendation quality, respond to enquiries, prevent abuse, measure product performance and—only when you separately opt in—send useful launch alerts, ownership tips and relevant communications.
Browser storage and returning visits
Bykes may use local storage, cookies or similar browser technologies to save questionnaire progress, comparison selections, a secure lead reference and recent recommendation history. This helps returning visitors continue, reuse previous choices or reset and start again. You can clear this information through your browser settings or use the reset option in the recommendation flow.
Recommendation emails and marketing consent
The consent to email your requested recommendation is transactional and separate from optional marketing consent. Promotional emails are sent only when you opt in. You may unsubscribe using the link included in marketing emails or contact us.
Retention
Lead and recommendation records are normally retained for up to 730 days, unless a longer period is required for legal, security or dispute-resolution purposes. Aggregated or anonymised analytics may be retained for longer.
Sharing and processors
We may use hosting, email-delivery, analytics, security, customer-support and newsletter providers to operate the service. They may process information only for the services they provide to Bykes. We do not sell personal information.
Your choices and deletion requests
You may request access, correction or deletion of your personal information by contacting welcome@bykes.in. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Important note
Do not submit sensitive personal information through the recommendation questionnaire. This policy should be reviewed with a qualified Indian privacy professional before large-scale launch.
